UTA tamper and surveillance
senors: The UTA sensors monitor utility equipment, facilities or
enclosures, for unauthorized entry or disturbance. When triggered, the
module begins to transmit an RF signal with its unique ID, present alarm
status and accumulated hours of alarm. This signal can be
received by the hand held CMRIII Remote Reader and/or the CPSS Computer
Surveillance System. The UTA’s can be triggered internally or by an
external trigger including but not limited to, meter inversion (socket
meters), magnet, motion, contactor close and many others. The UTA
identifies the theft so that more sophisticated devices can be employed.
