PFM Flux Monitor: The
flux monitor is a small hand held device that detectsor modified
potential coils in a electro-mechanical meter without disconnecting the
meter. It is merely placed outside of the meter cover in the proximity of
the potential coil of the meter, and a 10 segment LED display can be read
in sunlight or dark.
The
measurement’s validity is unaffected by the load on the meter during the
test. The difference between energized and de-energized elements is
readily apparent. A wand is also available for sensing the condition of
elements on meters located in a protective enclosure or in a wall.
